PANAMANIAN CINEMA AT THE 1ST FILM FESTIVAL IN SPANISH MADE IN THAILAND.


From November 21 to 28, the Spanish-speaking audience in Bangkok was dazzled by the exhibition of the seventh art in the renovated amphitheater of the French Alliance, in the city of Bangkok, Thailand, cultural project coordinated between the embassies of Colombia, Peru, Panama, Mexico and Spain, within the framework of the promotion of cultural activities and the use of the Spanish language in the Kingdom of Thailand.

Panama said present on Tuesday November 27 with the film “Salsipuedes” (2016), drama, winner of the “Fondo Cine” contest, directed by Ricardo Aguilar Navarro and Manuel Rodríguez, a contest that has been held to encourage the creation of Isthmian cinema from the 2015, it seeks to boost the film industry and its components.

This is the 2nd Panamanian tape that is exhibited in the Kingdom of Thailand, in April of 2018 it was the turn of “Donaire y Esplendor” of the production house QFilms, the same as in November of 2018 has taken shots in Thailand for a film to be released in 2019.

Before the start of the film exhibition, the Embassy of Panama offered a Wine of Honor in commemoration of the month of the Fatherland.

In his welcoming words S.E. María del Carmen Martínez Arosemena referred to the different dates of celebration in Panama during the month of November, occurred in different eras of our history and that contributed to forge the free and independent state that we are today, and coincidentally happened the month of November, which is why it is called month of the homerland.

The event was attended by expatriate Panamanians living in Thailand, members of the diplomatic corps in Bangkok, friends of Panama and Thai students who have been part of the FAS exchange project and have resided in Panama for a year.
